His health department experience makes for some fun anecdotes and keeps his long lectures listenable. However, he does have a pretty big ego and a dry sense of humor that's fun at times and hell at others. Tries to impress students by going in depth about things that don't matter. Overall a good choice though.

Took him over the summer for principles of public health and he was great! You can pass with flying colors if you read the textbook and take effective notes during lectures because he can draw upon class discussion material as well. Overall, he is very organized and clear in his teachings. He really wants his students to learn, not to memorize.

Tabbot is sarcastic, smart, funny and really knows PH. He is the best professor at Rutgers. Class on Monday nights sucked, but the topic is engaging. The tests are easy af if you attend lecture and study. Straightforward material. You don't need the textbook, just make sure to go to class if you want the answers to extra credit exam questions.

Tabbot knows his stuff. Works as a Health dept. head so he's very experienced and is able to help you understand practical concepts, but his attitude leaves much to be desired - he is super sarcastic all the time. It was funny at first but it got old really fast. Also, his tests are very unclearly worded. He's better off in the field than as a prof

3 hours at night on a monday really dragged. He has a dark sense of humor to try to make it go by faster. His exams are hard but only two of them. It is a lot of information to study though. Each class has about 100 slides to go over and all of those must be studied. He curved the first exam and final grade, did not curve the final exam though.

3 hour lectures with him on a monday night were horrible, the material was easy to understand but dry. he never responds to emails on time, and is very condescending when approached in class. the tests are very specific, i studied hard for them all and got a B+ his study guides are completely useless.

Overall the class was fine. The material is pretty dry but the effort you put in is what you get out. He provides a study guide for the exam. Have to go to class for good notes. Does not respond to emails. Not hard at all just need to put the work in.

Tabbot seems like a very nice person and is very passionate about what he is teaching but the material is way too much. His exams are tricky and the study guides suck! He basically just copy and pastes the titles of all the slides so overall you need to know everythinggggg and once its time for the test only some of that info is on there.

This class was very easy. Yes you do have to attend class but he gives you a study guide for the final. Literally just copy down his slides in class and for the study guide memorize the slides. Its very straight forward. Not the easiest class, but its not that hard to get an A.

Really unclear on what's going to be covered on exams. He made us a "study guide" basically just copied all the headings of his slides into a word doc. very boring to sit through his lectures for 3 hours even though he let us out an hour early usually. gets really mad if you use your laptop for anything but notes

While I did find the exams hard and underperformed, He was a very fair professor and always willing to help. The class is not extremely easy but this is college. Study the notes and you'll be fine. Hes very articulate and meticulous about material. There is a lot of information on exams tho since its a summer class but material is not too ardous.

He's not too bad. Nice guy and funny. Only thing is exams are kind of tricky. Lots of material to memorize and at times questions are kind of vague. But still very knowledgable and an overall nice guy. Not the easiest course but not the hardest either.

Tabbot rushes the material and often is not clear what is on the exam. Exams are not that straightforward and too much information. Take with another teacher. Also hes very full of himself and an authoratarian type of personality.
