He's on leave right now but his class was the easiest class I've ever taken and I actually do feel like I've retained some of the information. The computer program used has glitches beyond his control though. Do the work, attend class (you can normally leave after five minutes), and you'll get an easy A.

Dr. Marshall is an extremely cool dude! All of our quizzes and test were open book! This class is an easy A! He only gave 2 lectures the entire semester, but they were very boring. Most of the time, he'll let you leave after you finish your work. TAKE HIM!!!!

Very Easy Teacher, take him before anyone else. Doesnt care about what you do in class. Go to class & do what you need to & then leave he doesnt care just as long as you complete everything. Also dont ever stay for his lecture they suck & are annoying. Got an 100% in the class doing nothing, & not listening to a word he says! Stupid class!

Class can be really boring. He gives random pop quizzes but other than that doesn't usually take attendance. Tests are really hard, most people did bad. but you can bring your grade up with cases. Never made above an 80 on a test but ended up with an A. so not a horrible class overall. just boring.

Will shamelessly flirt with all the girls in the class. Gives little notice about changes to exams. Talks pretty quiet so it's easy to tone him out but he sometimes uses a microphone and calls sleeping people out-so don't fall asleep.

He was funny, when he didnt try to be. Mostly repeats himself in different sentences. This class was in a computer lab so just tune him out and get on facebook. dont expect that breaks that he promises in summer sections, they dont exist. easy class and a nice guy but extremely boring and not knowledgable AT ALL.

Hilarious. And very good teacher. Only one difficult project. Tests are easy As. Homework once a week but he usually gives you time in class to do it. Great teacher and really wants students to learn the material.

Marshall is hilarious but this class is so boring. I recommend Marshall because the class is an easy A and he is really funny. You can use notes on exams and he gave us this project that no one really knew how to do but I still made an A.

It is hard to pay attention to a teacher when you have a computer in front of you. He became a little frustrated when he wasn't being listened too, which is understandable. Gives pop quizzes on material, but you are able to use these questions to help you study for the tests that you can write "cheat sheets" for.Not bad,but i won't remember materia

Was clear enough for me. Do the excel work and submit it online. Do various small assignments. Do the htlm page which takes about an hour. Then you have a final project which isn't that bad at all. I finished this class about a month early less one test. I'm not exactly sure where the difficulty is coming from. Easy A.

Phil Marshall was an awful teacher! I took his class because I heard he was easy and fun but he definitely was nice. The projects were hard to understand and he wasn't willing to help anyone! If you asked him a question, he gave you a worthless answer that didn't even relate to what you had asked. Do not take him!

Really nice guy. Really easy A because of all the extra credit. Gives pop quizzes and doesn't go over the test material much, but you can retake tests. He went over the assignments with us before they were due. Not an interesting class, but I recommend him.

Tries to teach the fundamentals of Excel, etc. but sometimes goes quickly & makes it complicated. Gives lots of pop quizzes & tons of extra credit. LONG POWERPOINTS used as testing material, read them. Nice guy, weird grading style. Won't know your grade until the end. I doubt the class would be more interesting with anyone else. He's worth taking.

Yes, the class is easy, what do you expect, its a beginning computer class for everyone to take, not for computer science majors! But Mr. Marshall is a good teacher, who really cares about his students, and knows alot more than he lets on. Take his class, you won't be sorry.

Very easy class. He told us that we didn't have to come to class if we felt we could do the assignments on our own. The assignments were easy. He's easy to get in touch with via email if you have questions. After the midterm, I attended only one class and made an A. Just have to teach yourself the stuff you don't know and don't bother attending.
