Dr Genareo is actually an angel. I've never met a person who was so passionate about teaching. Sure, we had a ton of out of class work (especially our portfolio assignments) but she made it so worthwhile; I wouldn't have learned anything otherwise. Inspirational doesnt begin to describe her.

Lots of homework, but an easy class if you put in the time. I would not recommend to non-education majors although you can take it; the work wont be worth the time and you wont be looked upon quite as kindly :(

Dr. Genareo is the BEST. This class is centered around Portfolio Assignments (responses/analysis to real-life scenarios of topics discussed in class), and they've really helped me pinpoint the teacher I want to be. She's always available for help and has been instrumental in my development as an impactful teacher. I want to have her every semester!

She is a sweet and caring lady who wants her students to succeed. She gives great pointers for teaching in the real world. 10 longer assignments over the course of the semester but if you don't procrastinate, you will be fine.

Dr. Genareo is one of my favorite professors on this campus. I also took Ed Pysch with her and learned so much! While she gives a lot of written work, I found that they were mostly application based and if you really understood what she was asking and looking for her grading is fair. Definitely an inspiration to all teachers.

Dr. Genareo truly is an expert at what she does. She gives wonderful feedback and is really interested in her students. However, she has the most confusing instructions I have ever seen. Even with that aspect, the class in itself isn't very hard. She grades fairly on portfolio assignments, but the tests make up a big part of your grade, too.

I learned a lot in the class, but it was quite a bit of work. Don't hold off on doing the assignments til last minute or you'll be screwed and have to pull a lot of all-nighters. As long as you study for tests, though, they aren't too bad. Genareo is a sweetheart who loves her content area and her students. Don't be afraid to ask for help!

I loved Dr. Genareo. Her Ed Psych Class is the one I took and loved it, it gave me a greater appreciation for teaching. She gives you a group to be in at the beginning of the semester, so there are group projects, but they are generally pretty easy to work with. Her tests are tough, mostly MC and short answer. Work hard & you will do fine!

Dr. Genareo is one of the best professors at GCC. She has so much experience teaching in schools and she brings that experience to the classroom. I took detailed notes and paid attention in class. The book was a good reference tool when I needed help understanding something. Do the PA assignments and feedback and you will do great.

Dr. Genareo is among the best professors at the College. Her dedication to the development of preservice teachers is without question what makes her classes so useful, even considering how important the material (Ed Psych and Special Ed) in those classes is.

This class is a lot of work, but it is all very beneficial. She will make you a better teacher. However, her exams will make you hate yourself. Fortunately, they're a very small part of your grade. Know every single name she says/lists. They will haunt you.

Dr. Genereo is a great teacher, though if you have her and Dr. Edwards at the same, watch out, because they tend to disagree on different issues, which left me thinking hard and very confused.

Very encouraging professor. Tests are difficult, especially the multiple choice. Massive amount of work. Learned some valuable information, but I'm not sure all the work was worth it.
