Great man! Very Funny and loves what he does. A little stand-offish when I went to see him once, maybe he was just having a bad day! He hates new technology, and makes fun when it doesn't work. He's a riot and an excellent prof.

I highly recommend Pickavance. First of all, he gives very good notes. Second, he's very clear about what he expects. If you do what he says, you'll do well. Third, he's so entertaining! He's also very interested in what he teaches and that comes out during the lecture. I would not hesitate to take a course that he was teaching.

This man is brilliant :) Easily the most entertaining prof I've had to date. He has actually gotten me interested in ecology! Gives good notes and his exam was pretty easy. Great sense of humor- makes it much easier to pay attention. Highly recommended.

Dr. Pickavance was wonderful!! He made a subject in which I have little interest very enjoyable! He was eager to see students succeed, and was willing to answer questions. He relates course material to local/personal things, and thus makes it more relevant and interesting. A great prof!

He's a good prof! Sticks to his lecture notes mostly for the tests. Overall the tests are not brutal. You need to study but thats just the nature of the course. Hes got funny dry humor that hes uses all the time. Overall entertaining prof! Recommended!

He's an excellent professor. His lectures are interesting despite the boring material. He was a great sense of humor. His tests are difficult but fair. The only problem I have with them is your spelling has to be exact. e.g. If you change an "I" to an "e" in a word its marked wrong.

Excellent prof. I thought I would hate this course, but it actually turned out to be one of the best I've taken. He's extremely funny and makes everything clear. Don't dare walk into class though.
