Comment:

Dr Wood knows his stuff, but intends on straying away from what you need to know to provide unnecessary information about "upper level accounting courses". I helped peers with their homework in other accounting classes but struggled to keep up in my own. Incredibly boring, would not recommend taking in the early morning.

I thought Professor Wood was a decent man. He curved the tests, which really helped out. He gives you ungraded homework and the solutions to help study for the test. He really uses the book and PowerPoint to teach. Boring class, but with studying, an "A" is achievable.

Class is very boring and his lectures are so hard to pull any valuable information from. You're better off reading the book and taking notes from that. So far he's so bad I'm considering changing majors. He has almost completely turned me away from continuing with accounting as my major.

He's so difficult to pay attention to in class. He's boring and doesn't know how to teach. Exams are difficult and he doesn't prepare you for it at all. You basically teach yourself the material.

Horrible. Lectures drag on and he's nearly impossible to pay attention to. Tests are ridiculous. He doesn't prepare you very well at all. The only good thing is that there are 4 tests and the lowest grade is dropped.

Dr. Wood is a good professor. I don't know why everyone says the terrible things they say about him. I will agree he is boring, but he's not as terrible as people think. None of the comments I have seen say that his tests are open book / open note. Get old tests as well, and you'll do fine!!!

It's less painful to beat your head against a wall for 3 hours than sit through his lectures. Unfortunatly, he's the only one that teaches it and he has an attendence policy. Do yourself a favor and stock up on new cellphone game's before class

Wow-this guy is easily one of the worst teachers I have ever had...I'd rather stab my eyes out than sit through another one of his classes. Not only are his tests absolutely horrifying but he will do NOTHING to prepare you for them. He may be a CPA but he sure as hell isn't a teacher.

I wouldn't recommend taking him for this class, but he's the only one that teaches it. Just get the old tests, or take it in the summer (easier). He doesn't seem to know his stuff, and you will be bored beyond belief in class.

He is really boring, but if you can get "study guides" then you are totally fine to get at least a B Not as horrible as people make him out to be. You really dont have to go to class much, but if you do Drink COFFEE!
