Comment:

He is inredibly knowledgeable about the subject, and because of this moves rather quickly. The plays he chooses for reading are very engaging and the lectures are extremely entertaining. If you attend every lecture, do the reading, and review - you'll get an A. He's a fair teacher and answers questions clearly. Do the reading before class.

Comment:

Genna is a good teacher and knows what he is taking about but their is sooo much reading required. I only read about half of the plays needed and it was still a huge pain. It gets old really fast. My advice, stick with cliffsnotes & Sparknotes and you will be ok.

Really knows what he's talking about. If you take notes and read the plays, studying's a lot easier, and you can pass the tests. Just do the work he assigns and you'll be fine.

It's an easy class as long as you go to class and take good notes on the lectures and keep up with the reading. The tests are graded on a curve and the play reviews aren't too difficult either as long as you concentrate on the themes.

This class is easy, just go to class, read the selections, and take notes. Most of his test questions are worded exactly the same as his lecture. The reading is sometimes long, sometimes short. Some of them are interesting others boring. He's very smart and no one should have a problem passing this class unless they're totally lazy.

Lectures can be boring at times but they are essential to attend if you want an A. Be sure to keep up with the reading as well. The tests aren't too bad. As long as you've attended every class and done the reading you should get an A. You're also required to attend the school plays and write reviews on them, I suggest writing at least 5 pages each.

Liked the class. Make sure u do all the readings and attend lecs. and u will do fine. Plays r all really int, some r hard 2 understand but he does his best 2 help u w/o forcing his ideas onto u. Funny and nice. Lec can b sometimes boring in the morn but overall they r int and u learn new ways of thinking. Int class and good teacher.

Such a great class! he is an amazing teacher. Wonderful discussions. A lot of reading but the plays he picks are amazing. Don't take it if you aren't interested in learning. all you slackers don't bother. if you want to be challenged and enjoy a great class, then this is for you! overall a GREAT CLASS!!!!

Overall, difficult class. Long readings for each day of class. Lectures are interesting, but he covers complex topics and goes off on tangents. Kind of hard to follow him. Tests are extremely difficult. Focuses on small details, so know the plays very well. Class isn't mandatory, but you have to go if you wnt to understand stuff. Buy book

Ok, so everyone else must be on drugs because this man was BRILLIANT! He is the smartest teacher I have ever had. His lectures are intelligent, and he's funny. You read 1 play a week and sometimes he gives pop quizzes on the plays that are really easy if you read. There are 3 tests, and they are easy if you go to class and take notes. He's amazing!

Really hard teacher and way too much work. He expects way too much for such a low level class. Teaches very complex things in a gen ed class! Has a good sense of humor, but that doesn't help you stay awake. His tests are incredibly hard and the amount of reading is insane! DO NOT TAKE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOWER YOUR GPA!

Great content but WAY TOO DIFFICULT. Huge reading assignments for each class. Hard to grasp concepts. He's funny, don't take if AM in Little Theatre, impossible to stay awake. Tests are all on small details, MUST READ EVERY PAGE to do well. Super hard, cool material though, take if u have an interest in THEA/TFM, or else save the trouble.
