Guys, all the teachers for 330 have old teaching methods, methods that generally don't work very well to actually learn the material. He is an okay teacher, he does good problems in class but his explanations are hard to understand sometimes. You need to learn the material alone for this class, whether you take him or another teacher.

Overall, he is a good teacher. Go to class to write down his notes and to do the in-class illustrations he posts on Moodle.. those will be very helpful when preparing for exams.

Kapoor is honestly the best accounting teacher I have had so far at JMSB. The problems he solves with you in class will be similar to the ones you are tested on. Highly recommended if you want a good grade, but you have to put in the work!!

I took 2 classes with Dr. Kapoor in the early 90s and what strikes me about him is his depth of knowledge. His written several papers that I still put into practice. He takes the serious students seriously...treats them as equals...engages them.

After reading reviews below I almost feel that I should never follow reviews. Mr. kapoor is the best Professor for cost accounting,given you do you work.I think students blame nature of the course on professors. Acco 330 is a difficult course and if you want your B- you will have to work for it. NO FREE RIDES.

get ready to teach yourself cost accounting...and fail miserably...cause the final is an absolute killer and this teacher was useless.. on a good day there would be 10 kids in class. 90% of our class didnt get their Bminus... yea yea he learns his students by their first name yay!!!! thats the most important thing when ur in accounting...yea right!

Very dissapointing teacher. His method of teaching is all over the place and is a very tough marker. Took marks away after challenging the Midterm grade. Should not be teaching and complicates his ideals beyond works. Stick to the book! No point in coming to class. Almost a certain Redo in the accounting major!

Terrible teacher..very unclear and does not explain the material well. You need to teach yourself the entire course from the textbook to be able to get even a decent mark..i got a B+ because i worked like a dog! no thanks to kapoor! he did NOTHING but make me more confused

he's a very nice guy, but he uses a lot of his own methods to teach the course; mainly when he covers the 100 variances you HAVE to know for the final. his final is a killer, but he's a stand up guy, and he loves to get to know his students on a name by name basis, practicly unheard of by a desi accounting prof.

The best accounting teacher ever. The course is hard. Mr. Kapoor does a great efforts, I guess he writes and solve problems more than any other teacher I have been with. He makes a very difficult course such as cost management, an easy and understandable.

He was very boring and I did every example he did, but the exam was still REALLY hard. I don't think he's a good teacher...very monotone, you'll be fighting to stay awake and becareful with exams, if you think you're right and go see him for more marks he'll take AWAY marks. He did that to me!

Looks like a nice old man, but a real jerk outside of the class room. He makes the lecture much much harder than it has to be. He is organised, so I'll give him that, but is one of those profs who is waaaaay out of touch with the real world. Oh and monotoned lectures (bring a pillow!)
