I took COM 450 with Ralph in my last semester - a summer semester. He knew we didn't want to sit in lectures so lectures weren't mandatory. There were no tests only 3 papers , BUT, the people who never came to class and never engaged with him did much worse than those who showed up and listened. Be engaged and you will do well.

He is a brilliant professor with amazing teaching style-interactive, effective. I never noticed time when I was in the class and wish my class was longer. Exams are not easy-need to be well prepared with intelligent responses to the questions.
