Rand is a great professor and a very fair. Even though I took his course online it felt he was really engaged with the students. I was a little worried that one of the books he wrote was part of the course and that he would be very particular in its interpretation, however, it only helped. His encouragement made me want to try harder and succeed.

He can take a little bit to become accustomed to, but Rand is awesome!!! Unlike a lot of profs who tell you to voice your opinion and he will mark fairly even if it goes against their belief, Rand tells you straight out: agree with him and your marks are going to get better. He is so funny and witty!!

Rand is the best....I'm honoured to have been able to take a class with one of the country's most premier political scientists!! Rand is witty and eccentric and I enjoy every minute of his class....even though he is a serious Trudeau basher!! I can't wait to take another one of his classes next year....It has been a true pleasure!
