Dr. Shaffer is one of the best profs at this school. His classes are easy and he is a great teacher to learn from. He is EXTREMLY helpful, in class and in his office. If you don't understand something, even if its in a DIFFERENT class, he will take the time to explain it until you understand it and are comfortable with it. Great advisor as well!

Out at Macayos with friends... we happen to sit next to him while he's having a beer. Soon, he his wife (who was shopping) comes and they take off. We later find that he picked up the entire tab for our food. Seriously, could there BE anything cooler? Great guy.

An excellent professor! Shaffer is always super clear, full of examples, strong speaker, is very concise, and has a friendly personality. He reminds me of a Swiss banker with his glasses and "straight to the point" lectures. This is my last year at school here and Id say he is one of the best instructors Ive had! Shaffer rocks
