Old professor, grumpy. interesting class though, take the notes that puts on the board and they'll help a bunch on the papers. 3 papers throughout the semester, no exams. Lots of books though. Written hw as well

Always bring your book to class, and actually read it. Write down EVERYTHING he says, or bring tape recorder. Papers are easy if you do so. He gives you the chance to rewrite the papers. Attendance counts, don't be late.

This class is okay. Three papers that are to be 6 pages long based on class discussions. That being said, it's very important to show up to class and actually pay attention. I found him to be rude towards some kids when they couldn't answer something in class. ALWAYS BRING YOUR BOOKS TO CLASS!

Lots of little homework assignments, all based on readings. You can rewrite papers, three in total, for a higher grade, which can be submitted at any point throughout the semester. All papers are based on the notes in class; attendance is a must! If you're there everyday and jot down EVERYTHING he says, this class will be pretty straight forward.

Hate that i think hes a good prof bc hes super old fashioned and strict, but tells you everything that needs to go into paper and is sometimes interesting even though i hate history. 3 long papers and some written homeworks. take notes from lectures and you should be fine

Trumbach assigns three papers completely based off of the text and his lectures. Do all of the HW or else! No tests. He is old so be aware of his old fashion skills. Believes his way is the only way. Received 2 A's for the first two papers, did all of my HW, and got an A- for final grade. I'm sure my last paper was well written. So I'm iffy w him.

Get ready to write 3 tough papers. The class isn't difficult content-wise but there is A LOT of reading and the teaching style is sometimes disorganized. You need to be at class and take notes to understand what he wants you to put into the papers. Professor is not the most personable, but he's funny at times and the subject is interesting.

He is the BEST!! Follow his instructions and please please please do NOT do any plagiarism because he will notice it and do not talk while he is talking. Also, write as much as you can so you have a good base for the essays. Not test just 3 papers and a few homework assignments. Go over the topics before the class.

Pay attention during his lectures and you should be fine. He basically tells you exactly what your papers need to get an A and you can redo the first two. He can come off as mean but its actually quite entertaining. No test just three papers.

A simple class as long as you can take notes and turn them into a narrative. A paper that is longer than 10 pages is the simplest way to get an A. Also, it's imperative that you include all - and I mean all - details from his lectures. Leaving details out is the main reason for a grade-drop. Only idiots would sleep through the class.

No test, just papers. Love his class, he's a little mean though but I don't think he means any harm by it. Super easy grader, honestly I was missing 23 of information for my paper and he still gave me a B. Also lets you redo the first two paper, which he would personally tell you what you're missing. Don't be late, stay awake in class.

He is a great Historian. In his class you have to read the material but do not worry the reading material is easy to understand. Grade based on three essays No Exams... He sets up appointments so that you can rewrite the essay. If you do exactly what he tells you to do you will pass. Also DO NOT PLAGIRIZE it is not good for you and he will catch it

So he's pretty straight forward and teaches some interesting stuff. However, he has a temper and makes comments like "that's why this isn't Yale" and some more not so nice things. Kind of gets on my nerve sometimes, he doesn't appreciate the type of students here or their ability

All of his essays are based on what he says. If you take great notes, at 9 am in the morning, then you will get an easy A. However, he is disorganized when it comes to teaching the material, so he may go into certain topics that may have nothing to do with the essays you will have to write. If you are a morning person, take him, if not, think hard

Extremely knowledgeable and crystal clear about what he teaches. DonĂ¢€™t miss the class, donĂ¢€™t talk when the class starts, and absolutely no electronics during the class. Read, do your homework and write everything he says and you will ace the essays. Listen to him because he gives out very valuable life lessons that take years to learn on your own.

Interesting lectures. His job as a historian is to go through the obstacle of finding information and putting them all together. The good thing is that he presents these "already put together information" to us. The story is there for you! no need to use your brain! Just take notes, attend every class like a decent student. Dont procrastinate. A++

Not easy. 3 papers. Although no exams, these papers have to be 10-15 pages each to get A's on them (he said it himself) The grader is lenient however. You need lots to write and if you don't take notes in class, you won't have much to write. His low voice and boring content make it definitely hard to focus.

Trumbach is very clear how he wants everyone to write their paper like. He has a specific format that he will explain when he assigns the 1st essay & it should be followed especially the introduction. This class is not hard. Just write down EVERYTHING he says and it will be EASY to write all 3 essays. You can also rewrite the first 2 essays. IgotA

Very straightforward and simple class. Professor knows his stuff, so just make sure you take down good notes and you'll be set. I got a B+, A- and A on the three papers, did all his homework, and got an A for the class. Highly recommended.

First paper was very simple; I recieved a B+ which was ok. The second was a bit harder (B). I'm currently writing the last one right now and it's hard. 3/4 of the semester was on ancient Greece and now all of the sudden he moves to Jesus. It's so random. I'm probably gonna get a C in the class.
