Comment:

Mr. Bell is a great professor. He is very funny and crystal clear about what an A-level speech requires. Beware of time limits! The final exam is EXTREMELY difficult. I am a straight A student (A's on all speeches), but I only earned 76% on the final. Luckily it was enough to finish with an A. Overall 8/10 would reccomend.

Comment:

Mr. Bell was an easy teacher as long as you come to class. We have 4 speeches and he was not a tough grader as long as you followed the criteria. He likes to laugh at his own jokes that aren't funny at all but him laughing so hard at himself makes it hilarious. Only problem is the final. It brought my grade from an A+ to a B- it is very very hard.

Comment:

I would take this professor again in a heartbeat. He was always clear about what was expected and how he graded, and he told a lot of stories and such which made the lectures interesting. Mr. Bell was easy to get ahold of outside of class time, and was always very helpful in answering any questions I had.

Very easy class. You have very few grades, this can either be amazing or awful. We had four speeches and a final. I made A's on 3 of the speeches and a B on one. This made my grade a 90. Then I did poorly on the final that only had 20 questions and was worth 25% of my grade. It brought my grade down to an 82. Watch out for the final!

HE was a really good professor, he just didn't go into the best explanation of things. He tends to laugh at himself a lot while telling stories, and he has one of the most weirdest laughs i had ever heard. But overall, i would totally take him again

Professor Bell is a good teacher. He makes the material make sense and he is always willing to help, however; this man does not have a filter and he is a little annoying. He tells a lot of stories and laughs at his jokes to much. He is a fun professor though, and he's British so that always helps.

Dr. Bell is an excellent teacher and he conducts a very lively and interesting class. He is one of the most natural teachers I have ever had a class with. I hope to teach one day and if I can do half the job he does I will consider myself successful.

He is very easy. He is from England and loves to tells stories, so it is easy to listen to him. His grading is different in the fact all your assignments added up to equal 100 points in all at the end of the semester. He is willing to help out anyone and is very understanding. I highly recommend him!!!

Mr. Bell is a great teacher! He is funny and really cares about stuents! He is from England so its great just listening to him talk! If you work on your speeches you will easily get an A. I would highly recommend him for Fundamentals of Public Speaking!

He's a really nice guy. He tells lame stories, but the way he laughs at himself makes it worth it. He schedules several days for one-on-one help, if needed. You don't really use the book and he tells you everything on the final.

Great teacher! He knows everyone gets nervous and does his best to help you overcome your fears and be comfortable. Even if you aren't the best speaker, you can still get good greades if you have all the parts of the speech included (like the parts of the intro, body, and all parts of the conclusion).

Great! Great! Great! Best Instructor I've had. I was petrified of speech but he made it fun. Laughed every class. You only have 1 test for the final and 3 speeches so you have to listen and make sure you do your speeches. Oh and his accent is great. Loved this class.
