Good course note package. Lots of info, and very knowledgable. Very effective teaching style. Lots of info to study for midterm and exams, and watch out, they are really tough. Does not mark easy.

Ray's course material was very interesting, full of facts which made my knowledge regarding issues Canada and world face, more defined. The use of powerpoint and film clips was a good choice to maintain my attention in class. The lab material/assignment was also useful in order to bring further understanding to the CLI.

Comment:

Very effective teaching overall. A good mix of presentations, papers, lectures and lab. Student’s questions were answered well and current new articles were a nice touch. Copies of slides were cumbersome and superfluous, available on-line, and reading assignments demanded more time than they were worth in my opinion, no other complaints. Good work.

I wish he didn't talk so much at the field lecture...we didn't get to do much hands on stuff. The course notes are good and affordable (more condense than a text and less expensive) but the tiny slides are hard to read sometimes.
