Dr. Sperling is super nice and really relatable. She's not the easiest of EDPSY 14 profs but she is extremely willing to help. There's only 3 exams, but she gives you multiple in class/extra credit opportunities which really help your grade. You have to work a little, but an A is extremely possible, just study for exams.

Rayne is amazing. Sometimes her lectures can drag on but she tries to keep it interesting. She is so funny and really tries to get to know her students. She is very helpful with assignments. There were 10 in class assignments, but you must be in class for them, there are no make ups. Gives studyguides for each exam that really help. She is the best

Rayne's lectures can be boring, and you have to go to class to pass. Take good notes and study the material and you will be okay. It is not an easy class, but if you go and get the extra credit from the "TLEs" (her bonus point system) you will be fine. If you are lazy, don't take this class.

Professor Sperling might be my favorite professor so far. She knew what she was talking about, told you exactly what would be on the exam, practices what she teaches. But, you have to put the work in to do well; definitely not an easy A class. The book is important for the exams and do any and all extra credit/TLE that's offered!

Rayne is great, she is so kind to everyone and has moments where she is very funny. I thought this class was going to be extremely difficult but it really isn't. Just go to class and go to the review sessions for exams and you will be fine. I personally did not use the textbook at all but many people relied heavily on it.

Your grade is determined by 3 tests and a few 10 point in class assignments, the class is lecture heavy but shes a great teacher and knows what she is saying.

Rayne is an okay professor. This is a really hard class to take, but she doesn't do the best job of teaching it, but she is not terrible. You have to read the book to learn the content. You can't rely on her lectures to teach you everything. Exams are very hard, you will need to study. Do the TLEs and extra credit. Its not much easier with Stevens.

She is one of the worst professors I've ever had at penn state. I always went to class, read the textbook and studied for the exams but her exams are nearly impossible. Her class is extremely boring and the course is nothing but exams and a few TLE's (basically attendance papers). If I were you, I would take it with the guy professor.

Dr. Sperling is the best. She really wants you to know it and is very clear on what she expects and what you should expect (Table of Specs). She shows up Rayne or shine and is helpful. Do the TLE's and extra credit, they can help.

Dr. Sperling's lectures can be long and boring but other times they are very interesting and you want to know more. With there only being three exams, studying a lot is a must because they are pretty hard but this class is not impossible if you put in time and effort. Make sure you go to class to get the TLE points, they're life savers!

This class is tough, Rayne is tough, but you come out of it having been challenged and more informed on the topic. The tests are tricky, they use a lot of challenging examples. Sperling cares, but is definitely a no-BS kind of person; she has her writeria, and that is that. She knows her stuff. You're gonna work for your grade; DO THE EXTRA CREDIT

Dr. Sperling is brilliant. This class is filled with information, like- hundreds of powerpoint slides per exam. I did not hate this class but it got confusing at times (yes, educational psychology can get VERY confusing). You just need to put in the work honestly.

You have to REALLY work to even pass this class. Don't plan on skipping classes or review days! She does give out extra credit. I definitely wouldn't have passed had she not given that opportunity.

She is very professional and you can tell she knows what she is talking about. You have to definitely attend all the lectures to do good on the tests and study a lot for them. I would recommend also doing the T.L.E's, they help a lot. Good teacher but class is hard.

Although the class is difficult, Rayne provides examples to help you better understand the information. Not to mention she gives out 11 extra credit opportunities called TLE's that can be used as a 100% exam grade to go toward your final grade. Don't forget to go on to Angel the night before an exam, she'll be there to answer any last questions.

You will need to study. You have 3 exams (including final) and thats all your grade is (unless you get the 10 extra credit attendance activities). I found her to be self centered but when i reached out to her for help she was actually very nice. You do need to book, she will pull test question from it. She is big on application questions.

Professor Sperling is probably one of the smartest professors I have ever had, but I would highly recommend having at least taken psychology in high school because her lectures can be confusing. The whole class revolves around 3 tests which are semi-difficult but much easier if you study, take advantage of extra credit and go to class.

Sperling knows her subject well and has even done extensive research in this field. She provides a clear table of specifications before each exam and hosts super helpful review sessions. Yes, the class is lecture based, but she asks you to connect the material to your own life which creates discussion and better understanding. Go to class for TLEs!
