Lectures are extremely off topic. Mid term exam average was a 68 and she said that it was better than her other classes. I'm never taking her classes again.

Going to class is a complete waste of time, but she takes attendance so you have to go. Out of the hour and 20 minute class we go over course material for maybe a half hour, most off topic teacher I have ever had. Class is an easy A/B but you will not be learning anything. This class so no electronics and she is very strict about it.

Mandatory attendance, BUT lectures do not support test questions or assignments. Better to just show up and read the book during class. Hard to get a hold of at times. Very tough cookie to reason with as well.

her teaching style requires that you develop self-discipline, don't expect her to give you everything easy as in high school

I liked the online class with her better than the one in class. She's always willing to help you, just go to her office hours and be prepared to spend a long time there if you struggle with the course.

I took Prof. Chakraborty for Econ 3000 online and I thought she was a good professior. We had three homework assignments, four wall street journals, and three tests which all had a study guide for reference, that you could do for points up to 2 times. As long as you did the work you got an A.

Worst prof I've ever had. The lectures have nothing to do with economics. HOWEVER, every pre-test is identical to the test so it's a VERY easy A. Take this class if you're good at sleeping through lessons and teaching yourself.

By far one of my favorite professors at NU. She does get off topic but all of the information she gives is good. Extremely helpful and will help you with your grade if you are dedicated and she can see that.

This is the teacher that the other professors joke about. Moving from Micro to Macro was a joke, and the other professors will jokingly ask if you had her if you suck at Econ. We spend the entire class discussing how her husband should take her last name, or the poor tall kid in the front row. The homework is easy enough, and the tests are online.

Seriously best professor at NU. All you have to do is TAKE THE QUIZZES ONLINE. Take each at least twice to be sure you got the correct answer, copy and paste them to a word document, print out that word document and memorize it. After memorizing the quizzes you WILL ace the tests. That is all oh and her accent is kind of thick

Chakraborty is a hoot but you don't learn a single thing in her class. It was fun listening to her stories and getting her off topic, but if you're an Econ major or love to learn, don't take her. Her accent isn't terrible but be aware that she does have one. Tests are simple if you get to use your book, which is only sometimes.

I had her over 13 years ago and it's sad that everyone is still saying the same thing about her. I had her and her husband Deb. He was much better. Why is she still there?
