My favorite Kenyon professor. This was my third class with him. His lectures are great and he knows an infinite amount about music history. He's approachable and very easy to talk to in his office which is open most of the time. His tests are hard. His papers involve a lot of research but they're graded kindly with helpful comments.

Sanders is a very passionate teacher when it comes to music history, specifically Baroque music. He explains the material well and engages the class with scores and music as opposed to just power point slides. However, if Baroque/Classical music isn't your interest class can become very dull sometimes. He grades papers tough but he is fair.

Definitely not what you would expect from a 100-level intro music class. Feels like he's expecting every student to be a music major. He does care about how you do in class however and is helpful, but then again that's not what you want in an intro music class.

Amazing professor, constantly available outside class (I met with him at 7, he arranged class dinners at Peirce, I saw him at every music event I went to). Tests are a lot of memorization but everything he asks for is straightforward and fair. Learned so much, the only class for which I happily woke up at 8:10.

He is without a doubt the best professor at Kenyon College. Not just in the music department but across all departments.

I really like Prof. Sanders. He is an incredibly caring and helpful professor, and his introduction to music history was thorough and well-done. Be prepared to study a lot, though there are no surprises on any of his tests, just a lot of memorization. Also, do the 2-page research papers well in advance. You may think "how bad can it be?" death.

Reggie!!! I love this man- I had him for one class two years ago and he still remembers my name and asks me how I am whenever I see him. Perfect teacher- clear, kind, understanding, knows his stuff, helpful, great at explaining complicated concepts, and has reasonable expectations. And he has the most southing voice in the world!

The hardest working professor I have had. He truly cares about each and every student, and is more than willing to work with you. However, someone has to criticize him: he is more than a pushover, and doesn't have "it" when it comes to intangibles. You will see what I mean if you take a class with him. That being said, still highly recommended.

Fantastic professor and person. He goes above and beyond and will stay well past his posted office hours if you need extra help. He knows his stuff and will make sure you understand it. His tests and homeworks can be tedious but they really force you to learn. Take a class with him!

Not much to say that hasn't been said. He's a fabulous, ridiculously nice person who knows his stuff really well and has a surprisingly well rounded sense of humor. If you listen in class and take notes you don't even have to buy the textbook. His grading is very fair. Well worth taking any of his classes.

Awesome! Crystal clear lecturer, extremely knowledgeable, tough but fair grader. My only gripe about him (and it's barely a gripe) is that he has a really soothing, chilled-out voice that made me wanted to fall asleep during morning class. Bravo, Professor Sanders!
