The first thing I do every semester is check and see if she is retired yet. She hates males. She stops class if you smile and asks what you're smiling about. Quite possibly the worse professor I've ever had. May God have mercy on her soul.

I think she wastes a whole forrest for useless handouts. I dont recommend her if you are taking a soc. class just from a gen ed. Tons and tons of work and pretty boring. She never cancels classes, ever. I guess if you love sociology give it a shot. Good luck

If you do your work you should be fine. Just don't comment with anything she disagrees with or she will make you wish you hadn't. Not a great class, pretty boring, but not terribly difficult to get an A as long as you attend class and do work.

SHE IS HORRIBLE. If you miss a quiz, whether or not you're sick, you CAN'T make it up. She's miserable, and has one of the most boring voices I've ever heard. She's very condiscending, and if you answer in class, and she doesn't like your answer, she'll make you feel stupid. Not any required homework, but SO MANY HANDOUTS. Don't take her.

Horrible teacher. Just a miserable old lady who wants to make everyone else miserable. Can't teach, tests have nothing to do with lectures/info she gives you. You'll be swimming in handouts by the end of the class. Terrible in every way possible! DO NOT TAKE HER!

A lot of work for an elective gen ed. She is a good teacher, knowledgable. Annoying voice. Just all in all too much work. Hard tests even if you study. No attendance or real homework unless you do the packets to study for a test (more work)

this teacher is horrible. I wish I had never taken her class. For an elective, she expects a lot of work. This class was time consuming for an elective. 65 questions on every test, you have to memorize a lot of unnecessary info.

I took this for an elective and REALLY wished I hadn't. She askes extremely specific questions on her exams and expects a lot more work than I was willing to put into a gen ed class. Her voice and views on marraige were also a big turn off. Try to aviod this one!

Oh my God! This class sucks. At first I thought it was good. She gives out way too many handouts that I just eventually throw away. Her quizzes are ridiculous. An essay on every quiz. A 3pg essay on the final. On a day when the quiz is given she goes on the next Ch! Why?? Last min to give quiz also.

She is a very difficult teacher. We get soo many handouts which is a waste of paper. The tests are hard even if you study for them( I read the chapters and do the packets).I don't get it. She needs a different method of teacher. Somebody needs to help her out.

It is kinda true, if you're over 30 and female, you've got it made. Class is tough; notes, quiz or test weekly, handouts (wastes SO MUCH paper!). If you study hard and go to as many classes as possible, this class can be ok. I wouldn't exactly call it fun though...
