Dr. Kasman was much more laid-back in the capstone class than in other classes I've had her in. The grading is still strict, but she kept the material very interesting. Not a bad way to go out with a math major. I learned a lot as well. I would recommend taking her if possible for this class

She plays favorites and has an interesting grading style on homework to say the least. She glances over homework yet manages to give some people full credit and others half. Her tests hardly relate to quizzes or homework and usually puts the HARDER stuff on the test than on the quizzes/homework (most of the time which you don't go over).

Explains the material well, and her style of answering a question with a question works for some people but not others. She has her favorites in class and apparantly hates other people though, or at least comes across that way. As long as you're a traditional college student and understand all the material you'll be fine, otherwise run!

Overall the class is very easy, lots of homework and time for project. Although it is pretty easy, Kasman is a B*tch! She likes girls though, so if you are a guy, try and stay away from her classes, or prepair yourself for hell.

I could not believe the ease of this class, she did not even have students simplify answers, in fact she instructed not to. I understood everything because I already knew it from HS, but I felt bad for the other students who needed this class because she was very unclear. Easy class but does not prepare you for future math.

Professor Kasman was an excellent teacher. But she does require you to put some effort into the work before she is willing to help you out. I would highly recommend her if you are defermind to work hard and try your best. She is very knowledgable and easy to talk to.

Prof. Kasman was very unhelpful and made you feel like an idiot for not understanding her. While she made herself very avialable, feeling comfortable enough to ask her questiosn was another story. homework was tough, but the bigger problem was that she was not a very nice person.

In all of her classes you can expect a good deal of work and strict grading. In the end though you learn much more than from other professors. This particular class was more laid back being a capstone course and very enjoyable. Take her if you can!

I thought she was nice and helpful, although I found the class pretty easy and didn't have to deal much with her. She is a picky grader though too.

This is probably the most interesting math course I've taken at GVSU. Dr. Kasman taught it very well. She is much more laid-back in the capstone class than in other classes. Still extremly difficult grader, but she's reasonable. Overall, I would take the positive aspects over the negative ones.

Dr. Kasman is a very difficult teacher, but she really knows her stuff. You have to be very precise in your answers and say exactly what you mean. She does a good job teaching a difficult subject.

She is possibly one of the worst teachers i've had in life and that is hard to do. She is rude and very unhelpful make you feel stupid for not understanding her when she tries to teach you something and has no qualm about cutting you off or embarrassing you in class

Very tough teacher. She grades very hard and gives hard homework as well. She is smart, and teaches the subject OK, although it is a pain in the a$$ to ask her a question. She answers a question with another question. VERY frustrating. I recommend finding another Calc teacher who isn't so uptight.

Woman, man, or squirrel? That was the most vexing question. A good prof, if not especially exciting. Be at class and stay awake (I didn't quite have that second part down) and her class is easy... as long as you understand math.

Take professor Kasman. She is the best mathematics professor that I have had thus far. She explains things very easily. Her tests are straight-forward, but you must study, hard. Linear is a difficult class, but Kasman made it a lot of funny. She is very enjoyable, and I loved the class.

Class is quite difficult... a lot of information thrown at you for the fist time and you are expected to understand. Homework assignments count for way too much in the class. Asks for precise definitions of words on the exams...
