An outstanding professor who actually cares. He opens your mind up to a lot. Like everyone said, the class is kinda difficult but the payoff of succeeding is rewarding.. I would strongly recommend taking a class with Reza Nakhaie

Dr. Nakhaie is an excellent professor. He wants you to succeed and pushed you to think in ways you have never thought of before. Yes, the material is hard, but he is very fair and provides lots of help. Really no excuse to do poorly in the class.

Reza Nakhaie is extremely smart and he is a very good professor. His classes are challenging and really make you think, but if you pay attention and read the book, you will succeed. I got a 91 in his class. He is brilliant. All the people complaining below must not have had a very hard work ethic, because I look forward to his classes.

very tough grader on all papers is not specific on what he wants. Id advise everyone to not take any of his courses. All of his exams are hard and you can not understand his lectures. Would not recommend to anyone.

Prof. Nakhaie is one of the most interesting profs I've ever had. He's very passionate about his work. You have to go to every lecture but his tests are fair to his lectures (exact words). Very nice guy, always willing to help. Only prof who doesn't read from a slide and actually is knowledgable. Gives you exact hints on the quizzes.

Worst prof ever. You have to really really really put the time and effort into everything you do just to get a 70 in the class. One of the GAs even dropped the class halfway through and I dont blame him.

Dr. Nakhaie is great if you put in the work. His lectures aren't boring at all but participation matters. He is helpful and accommodating if he sees you are putting in effort and actually taking the class seriously. Assignments and tests aren't that complicated. Basically, you need to do your part as a student to be able to enjoy the class.

Dr. Nakhaie is brilliant, simply put. Yes, he is not the easiest professor out there but he will make you push yourself to thinking in new ways. You definitely need to focus and work hard in his class but the pay off is so rewarding. Not an easy A but definitely a mind-altering experience.

One of my favourite professors. He's brilliant - really helps you understand the concepts rather than blabbering on about nonsensical things. You have to do a lot of readings but other than that I was intrigued by all of his lectures. A highly philosophical man too, which was enjoyable.

Avoid at all costs. He seems like a good professor at first, very outgoing and friendly but he's very condescending and pressures his students. Essays are straightforward but he is a hard marker and midterm was confusing. His participation grade is 15% and asks very difficult questions while pressuring students to go into detail.

His papers are extremely confusing, and they have almost nothing to do with his lectures. He himself does not even know what he's looking for in the papers. He replies to emails late or never. You can't submit papers online. His instructions are misleading. And if you don't buy book, you fail.

Great professor. He will likely be intimidating to you at first if you've never had him as a prof. However, I suggest you go to his office hours and get to know him because he's very helpful. Another suggestion is going to class for further explanation and do NOT be late!
