I found this Professor extremely personable and genuinely caring about the progress I was making. He took time to help me understand things that were no otherwise clear. I highly recommend this guy and feel he made a difference to me.

I am not good at Math, but this class wasn't terrible. I wouldn't call it easy but it wasn't super hard either. He's a really funny and helpful professor. Pretty clear. Quizzes every class but Final exam is optional and he drops lowest quiz grades.

He is very difficult to understand, and Calculus is already a tough concept. Changed his grading style, said that weekly quizzes would be graded but ended up not collecting any so the only grades for the class were three big tests. Did not give homework to practice, just solved problems on the board and expected you to follow. Do not take him.

He is really smart but he expects everyone to understand N have knowledge right away. he will go over some examples and then" he will say this is easy", no is not for us. there is is 3 exams and a final. quizzes each week. he doesnt collect hw. If you are not good at calc then expect to teach yourself. all of your grades are base on your exams.

He is a nice man and really tries to help you out by giving homework problems and going over them before quizzes, but he is impossible to understand. I got an A in Calc 1, love math and I'm struggling to get a C in his class. He goes extremely fast and doesn't really explain the concepts in depth, expects you to know a lot more than you should.

Easily one of my favorite professors here at Tows ! He is SO funny and easy to pay attention too. He moves rather quickly but if you pay attention it is easy to follow. He goes through alot of practice problems with you before assigning hw so u understand. Exams are okay if you study ! Just study hw & quizzes & you'll ace the exams. DEF take him !

I thought he was a fantastic teacher, he is so funny and sweet. He does a lot of repetition but you really end up understanding the concepts. Not that they are hard at all. There is a quiz (if you can call it that) at the start of every class. They are so easy and he is willing to work with you to help you. Highly recommended!

Hes so helpful! hes so funny too! He drops all your quiz grades if you dont want them included in your final grade. Also, if you're satisfied with your grades on the first 3 exams, then you dont have to take the final.

Comment:

Mr. Sarhangi is very nice and funny and keeps the class from getting too boring! I am horrible at math but somehow ended up getting a B in his class. The tests are a little hard if you are not great at math but he curves 5 percentage points on your final grade, like a C is a 65% so it really is impossible to fail this class. Definitely take him!

He wrote the workbook, so everything is straight from that. If you miss class you just need to look in the book and he goes straight from there. Very clear. Daily quizzes that are very easy. And if the quizzes hurt your grade he drops them. 3 easy finals that are the exact same as the quizzes. Easy A. Take him!!!

I really enjoyed his class..There are 3 exams and the final is optional which is added to the other three exam grades..what I don't like were the quizzes..every class there is a quiz..basically covers what you studied in the previous class.You have a choice whether you want those quizzes added to the total(3exams + quizzes).It's an A with hard work

AMAZING teacher!...and hilarious! Such a nice guy and so helpful. Quizzes are simple and predictable, will even drop all the quizzes if you don't want them to count towards your grade in the end. Tests are exactly like the quizzes. Definitely one of the best math teachers i have ever had =)
