We had a joke in his acting class... nobody read the book not even Ric. He's lovable and talented but I didn't learn much from him. Easy B, working hard and showing up will get you an A. He once told our class that when students miss class it breaks his heart. :-( I took acting for majors, really you can't not love him...

Comment:

Ric definitely knows what he's talking about, but he's a bit unclear sometimes. He has quirks like a lot of people, but he is a good teacher. I learned a lot from him. He really knows what he wants and has high expectations for his students and his actors. It's a challenge to get an A. All in all I like the class, for the most part.

I had so much fun in Ric's acting class. I was a senior when I finally got to take the class and maybe that helped me...less intimidated. Someone posted that Ric never gives A's. I'm not 100% sure but I think I did get an A in that class.

if a teacher just gave A's out, they probably wouldn't be a good teacher. If you go into a class expecting it to be easy, that is probably not the attitude to get an A. So I think the fact that he challanges you to earn that grade is one of the things that makes him a great teacher

I had him for voice and articulation and he made an easy class rediculously hard to get an A in. Especially because most of us in the class were taking it as a core fulfillment. The first 4 weeks we did relaxation excercises!
