Dr. Ford is a very intelligent professor and really does care about his student understanding the material. No attendance points for lecture, just for lab. There is little to no homework in class, but frequent pop quizzes (he takes the best 5/8), 3 exams, 2 lab write ups, and lab attendance & points do count towards the lecture which is helpful.

His tests are difficult and he asks beyond confusing questions. I went home from lecture more confused and had no idea what was going on. Had to learn everything on my own. He is very picky with wording and will count off for synonymous words. I am now an Immunology and Medical Microbiology major elsewhere, and have had much better profs.

He is a great guy. He really tries his best to explain everything. I just didn't like it when he would agree with something a student was thinking even if it wasn't what we should have been learning just because it "could" happen. We need to be certain what to know about. But, he is definitely on the student's side and gives lots of extra credit.

Great teacher! I think the students in my class are the idiots because they make him go way off topic and confuses everyone. I'm a bio major and given the opportunity I will take him again even if I have to spend more time studying that time sleeping lol

Very nice. If biology is not one of your strongest subjects, take him. He explains in terms that non-science people understand and he realizes that all of us are NOT science majors. If you want the grade, you have to do the work, but he is the best bio 101 prof. (for beginners) at state.

He is not fair when it comes to schedule conflict if you have to miss he class for another class for only one time.. he is a little on the "i am better than you side." His test has nothing to do with his lecture class, go by the book and study and you will be fine. Wouldn't take him again!!!
