One of the best experiences I ever had at American. I actually WANTED to go to class because he was so incredibly interesting. Amazingly brilliant, kind, and fair. I've never had another prof like him, and because he set the bar so high, I doubt I ever will.

The best professor I've had. Works for NASA, was Carl Sagan's TA and had a radio show with Isaac Asimov. Knows an unbelievable amount, and even though there are 70+ people in the class, is the most helpful professor I've had. Always responds to e-mails within minutes. Reads every ten page paper three times because he thinks it's only fair. TAKE.

great professor!! this man is a genius. i highly recommend his class for a gened requirement. the only thing you have to do for his class is read your notes before the tests and ull do fine! dont have to buy the book. he is extremely interesting.. he will dim the lights and talk for the entire class but ull be ok..

Awesome class. Berendzen lectures the whole time with powerpoints but it's pretty interesting stuff. He offers personal stories that are entertaining. But your final grade is only composed of 3 tests that are multiple choice, so it's easy to screw up. But I think he grades on a curve. Only outside work is to study for exams.

Wow! This man has so many credentials and is so smart. His class is amazing and easy if you pay attention. He goes real easy on ya-3 tests-that's it. He always rags on Georgetown too and tells hilarious stories. Definitely take this class.
