Class is him showing us things on the computer as we follow along. He's good a teaching and helping if you're confused but the compsci concepts he teaches can be quite difficult and he assumes we learn them easily. 4 tests, 2 projects, a few online homeworks, and a final. Try to take a different professor but he's definitely not the worst.

Showing up to this class is very important. It's boring which makes it difficult to understand. It is not Hw heavy but his tests were hard and same with his final. Go to his review sessions as he will give you 5 bonus points on the test just for going. I had to put a lot of outside work. He's a great teacher but the class itself is so boring.

Professor Brown was great! If you sit towards the front, ask questions and show interest, you will do well. Pay attention in class as he spells out what will be on the exams. It is helpful to have a PC if you don't want to work in the labs all the time. If you have an A going into the final, you don't have to take it (A- still has to take it).

Computer science by nature is not an interesting class. He's a pretty clear teacher, but the material is dull so you will get bored a lot. He's a pretty easy grader and the assignments aren't hard. If you are an athlete or friends with an athlete,you most likely will get a good grade. He is big on sports and sitting in the front rows, so try that.

the comments saying he favors athletic males are dead on, especially when grading homework. That said he is fair when grading tests. I hated his class but still got an A without much effort- also because of the A, I didn't take the final which is the only advantage he has over other teachers.

Awesome professor...super helpful...really understandable. I was doing a JavaScript project the night before it was due...I emailed him a question at 1230 and i got an email back in 10 minutes. Soooo clutch!

Brown is a great guy! He has gone out of his way several times to help me out on the stupid javascript problems i was having. Make sure you go to every class cause it counts in your final grade. 4 tests, 4 projects, final--unless you have an A. You should definitely take him.

This guy still thinks he is in high school. He tries to be popular by giving breaks to the popular guy and jocks(guys only). He is extremely boring and his test cover the smallest details. Projects are long and tedious. Don't not take this course and unless you are "popular".

An ok class. Plays favorites. Daily homework doesnt need to be done, but projects have to be on time. He gives exemptions to a few people. He also gives women a hard time, and on the other hand loves guys that appear to be cool. If you play it right you can get an A, otherwise you may do horribly.

He will like you if your flirty with him (this pertains to guys only) so if your a girl looking to get a boost in grade it will not work if ya get my drift. He's really dedicated to his students and will accomodate your needs as long as you ask. an A for the year means that you get exempt from the final. (94.5% or higher) DEFINITELY go to class! if you attend all classes you get an easy 50/50. He's really a nice guy, just a little dull. He's one of the easiest of the computer science teachers!

I had a bad registration time and was forced to take his class last semester and after reading all these horrible reviews i was so scared. but it really wasnt bad at all. i currently have an A and most of my friends do also. just do the minimum amount of work, SHOW UP TO CLASS, and pay attention a little (dont worry, you can still go on FB)
