Great Class. A genuinely intelligent, nice guy, and pretty entertaining all-around, you can tell he's passionate about his material. Promotes participation and helps a lot if you go visit during his office hours. Notes and readings are all key, weighted heavily in exams, which are all essay-based.

Difficult class. First day he'll tell you that a C on his test is good, and that you'll get a C at the highest if you only study class notes...and he isn't joking. A class you have to stay on top of all readings for and fully know class material.

possibly my fav teacher all you are graded on is a mid-term and final but they are all essay and if you go the review sessions you will know what the essays are on,take good notes, read a lil and you can get a B possibly an A, i took him twice

He's a really engaging prof. I love his lectures- he keeps me interested. Unfortunately you only have 2 exams that cover a lot of material and he's a hard grader- don't take the class with the expectation that you will get an 'easy A' that's not possible

Demirjian is very unhelpful, condescending, and pompous. He does not seem to understand that he is teaching history 104 a class which for most students fulfills a breadth requiremennt. Take another class to fulfill the requirement!
