It is puzzling to me how a prof. can act the way he does and get away with it. Repremanding students for being 5 minutes late? Asking students for their GPA in front of the entire class?! Humiliating them by questioning their work ethic? His teaching style seems quite antiquated. I don't believe in teaching through fear and intimidation.

The most rewarding class I have taken at SDSU. Don't take this class during a heavy semester. Dr. Graf demands a lot from his students, which he needs to do in order to teach this material within a span of 16 weeks. Expect to spend a lot of time writing and a lot of time being corrected. He bases your grade on effort more than on performance.

Professor Graf is one of the most genuine caring professors I have ever had. He truly wants his students to succeed and will do anything he can to make a scary subject not so bad. He appreciates people who try, and if you keep your attendence up he will reward you. You will not find another professor with his students best interests more at heart.

Dr. Graf is the MOST helpful professor I have ever had. I took both 270 (rated) and 410. And I am now in a graduate program in Psychology. No matter what, he ALWAYS has a student's best interest at heart. If you ever have any questions or concerns ask him. It really is THAT simple. If I went back to my undergrad, I WOULD take his classes again.

AMAZING professor! I have always hated math, but he made it so clear and easy. Tells students what will be on the test and quiz in advance. Attendance is mandatory, but i loved going--graf is so funny and cool. To get an A, show up everyday, do the workbook, and study what he tells you to for the exams. Great Class!!

Totally gifted teacher, made statistics seem so simple that it should be taught in grade school. Never uses "Math talk" always speaks clearly and ensures the entire class knows what he is talking about. I highly suggest this teacher for any stats class.

Graf is a great professor. If you're struggling he does everything he can to help you. Go to his office hours, he takes into consideration your effort and improvement. Class isn't that hard, it's just very tedious and tiring. Make sure you pick a topic you're interested in for your group project. Stay on top of your work and you'll be fine.

The class consisted of a few small assignments in the beginning and then one large group project, which ends up being a 17-20 page paper. Dr. Graf is very helpful. I actually enjoyed this class because I learned a lot. He grades subjectively, effort and improvement are taken into account.

Class was fairly easy. Definitely easier than stats 119. Graf is a really laid back guy. If you don't get an A, you can only blame yourself. There are 4 midterms and the final, but each arent worth stressing over. Gives homework every so often, but can be completed in like 5 minutes. So, take this class.
