Comment:

Mr. Griffin isn't the best teacher I've ever had. His lectures were not easy to follow. Tests were super hard, and the tests were not based on lectures. Plus, there was a short answer section where you format things yourself. He was always short with his emails. Not sure how I did it, but I got a C. He must have added points. He is good about that.

This was a really tough course for me. I believe that's primarily because I don't have a finance background. With that, this online course was great. Professor Griffin has pre-recorded in-class problems. These lectures will help you make an A on the homework and do well on the exams... I wish I realized this for the first exam.

Comment:

Hands down the hardest class of my academic career. I'm a Straight-A student and barely passed with a C. Homework is easy. However, ZERO feedback on quizzes and exams, which are super hard and you never know what he wants going in. Must create everything from scratch. Good curve though. If possible, take anyone else!

Tough but fair. He gives up to 3 chances per homework assignment and takes highest score. His exams are very difficult - if he mentions it'll be on the exam, it will! I didn't use the textbook, but MyLab was required as is online proctoring ($25 per exam). He is very knowledgeable and willing to help.

I had Dr. Griffin for Accounting 201 and 202 online. He is always willing to help students, and responds to emails. His tests are long and hard, but he does add a good curve. His classes require a lot of work, but I feel like I really learned the material.

This by far is my favorite Accounting professor at the university. If you study and put in the effort you will have no problem passing his classes. He went over all problems that we would have on the homework assignments and exams in class. Loved that he put videos on blackboard on how to work problems out. Overall good professor!

The worst prof. I've had in the 4 yrs, this is last semester. He tells you not to go by book, do it his way and then can't get the correct answers in class. Lousy job at explaining anything. If you pass it is because you taught yourself!! Exams very hard. Dread his class every time!!Too bad it's mandatory I could teach myself better!!

I had him for a 3 hour class. He is an older professor and can make a lot of mistakes during his lectures. He is really nice and is very approachable for help. His tests are somewhat difficult, but if you study and put in the effort you will do fine. He will also give extra credit for attendance sometimes.
