He's an atheist and makes that very clear. While I am for everyone sharing their opinion, he goes out of his way to make sure you know he thinks God is nonexistent and that it would be stupid to believe in him. For his exams, just memorize whatever he said. If you can't make it to class, he puts up slides and old podcasts of himself, which is okay

The Prof is great, he is very knowleadgable. He knows his stuff. There are no papers, only 2 term test and a final exam. You need to memorize the material. The TA does all the marking. He is great though with any questions you may have.

Great professor. really knows what he's talking about. Material seems really boring, but if you dig deeper and actually try to understand what he's saying it is interesting. Easy 80-90 if you go to class. No textbook needed, lectures only.

Dry and boring teaching style. Very little discussion and engagement with students. Complains about the lack of interest from students yet is rude and intimidating when people do get involved.

Great prof! Attendance is absolutely mandatory, don't be tricked by anything being put online. His slides were perfect for memorizing - and memorization is a must for exams. He won't give any surprises. He is also completely willing to help with material.

Excellent person, excellent teacher, difficult marker. Made theory interesting, and I actually learned something about the course. Textbook is a waste of time. If you want to do well, you need to attend classes and write down everything that he says. For a required course, he made it enjoyable. He is a very misunderstood prof

If anyone can make classical sociological theory interesting, its this prof. The material at times was somewhat confusing, but his method of teaching and knowledge on the subject helped quite a bit and made it easier...he also explains everything VERY thoroughly to make sure you understand...overall excellent prof

Being one of the only 1st years in his course, i got a little scared off. However, its really not that bad, required readings arent necessary, i never read them and did just fine. Basically memorization is key.

Regret taking it, wasn't even a requirement, Prof is not bad, he cares and he is always willing to help...it's boring...fekt bad because he tried making it funny...didn't work. MEMORIZE but try and understand it..we wants to see that.

Required SOC class, I'm not overly interested in theory but he made it bearable and somewhat interesting. Clear expectations, wants to see that you know the material so there is a lot of memorizing but at least he's clear about it....
