Lectures are a bit boring and hard to take notes on because he moves too fast. When he repeats something write it down because that means it's important. You will learn a lot by actually reading the textbook and doing the homework.

He seemed like a cool guy at the beginning of the semester then got very rude after the 1st month. He expects you to know things that he hasn't even taught you. His reviews for tests don't really help. If you miss a lecture day make sure to gets notes from someone because he will probably not speak about it again. (class group chat saved my grade)

He is an amazing person and a good teacher. Yeah he goes off on tangents but if you come to class and barely listen, you can make an A. Its not hard.

Henderson is a funny man and loves POSI, the class is pretty boring but if you record him while he goes over the review you'll be fine. Quizlets online are pretty up to date as well. I only got a B because I never payed attention in class.

HORRIBLE. Unless you are naturally good at this subject, do not take him. He goes off on tangents and most of the time, you have no idea what he is talking about, even if you are trying to listen and take notes. Grading criteria is super unclear as well.

Henderson was an okay professor. Personally he was hard to want to listen to. His study guides are filled with information and if you study you will pass. Also, take notes, he speaks his notes so it was hard for me to follow along.

Very funny & sarcastic. Lecture heavy, but makes it easy to understand. Be sure to take notes in class. Always has a review the class before the exam and gives multiple extra credit opportunities. Exams are super easy. Pretty easy to contact outside of class, but sometimes takes him a little bit to get back to you since he has a lot of classes.

Henderson is a chill dude, he goes off topic A LOT in class but besides that he gets to the point of his lecturers. The tests are pretty much based off his lecturers so you really need to pay attention (take notes and/or record his lecturers), you NEED to go to class and attendance is a grade too. If the TA hosts a review, go to it bc it's the test

Very lecture heavy, but if you go to class he gives a speaking review. I suggest recording him then studying. he literally tells you the answers. good class and he is super hilarious

If you struggle with government and history like I do, I would not recommend taking this class. He doesn't like powerpoints because he thinks that is feeding you answers rather than you learning and expects you to take notes on his lectures even though he gets off topic A LOT OF THE TIME. I'm constantly lost. Occasionaly makes study guides though

Henderson is a good professor and he actually knows what he's talking about. His tests are very easy, but they are heavily lecture based so you need to go to class to understand what is on the tests. He is very chill & kinda funny, except for when people leave class early w/o previous warning. Just pay attention during lecture and you'll do fine.

Comment:
As a professor, Henderson clearly knows what hes talking about. But his teaching style only works for a handful of people. If you have trouble keeping up with fast speaking, or if you zone out for a few moments, youll have a hard time. He only talks and rarely, if ever, has any pre-written notes, and he will never repeat what he said or slow down

If you make a B in this class, it's for lack of effort on your part. He provides most of the notes, which is almost verbatim to the exams. I study the night before and make an A. Henderson is very lax, and will provide entertainment in a typically boring political science class. Super funny. If I had to do it again, I would take Henderson.

Hes a nice guy and hes funny but his lectures are so hard to follow. He tells a lot of irrelevant stories and goes on about random stuff that has nothing to do with class. Youll have to buy an access code but its graded on completion so its not bad. Its really important to take notes, he ONLY lectures so you need to be able to keep up.

Tests are super easy and straightforward. His lectures are exactly what will be on the test. Gives out note handouts and reviews before test. He may tell a story here and there but doesn't get in the way of learning. Explains subject well! (dont fall asleep he'll call you out)

Although I was required to take this course, I would take it again or any class taught by Henderson. He manages to make a huge lecture hall feel personable. If you study, he tells you exactly what his tests will be on and what to expect. Just show up to class and focus on the points he emphasizes.

Hes a funny professor, but gets off topic a lot. He gives out reviews that are a lot like the test. Would not take this class again because it is extremely boring but its mandatory for Texas state freshman. Most people that ask questions just get ridiculed by him so I would avoid asking stupid questions or asking him to repeat things.

Professor Henderson is a straight forward professor. Many don't care for him but I didn't think he was bad. He lectured over what was on the test and sometimes the lectures could feel long but he keeps you entertained. He gives reviews before tests and has online quizzes before the test which help. Study your notes and go to class and you'll be ok.
