I took LITR 100, which is supposed to be a FC credit. It was NOT a freshman level course. He doesn't make his expectations for assignments clear or give you enough time to complete them. There's on average 12 pp. to read and a 2 paragraph response to a complicated question due before every class (even when a paper is due). Very lecture heavy.

This class is like a theory class it makes you think. He is funny but sometime can get confusing when he jokes. He had two papers and two transcriptions along with a final but they were pretty easy to do.

I took his Translation Studies class. He was incredibly insightful, as he would always challenge us to look at things in ways we had never thought of. I learned a lot about what gets lost in translation and how a couple of words can change everything. I learned a lot from him and my writing and thought process greatly improved.

His BB quizzes made absolutely no sense... but I managed to work my way through them and get one of the highest grades in the class on them. I also managed to pull a 4.0 in the class so I must've done something right. The thing about Dr. H is: you just have to understand him! It was my FIRST time in his class and we meshed well. Def recommend!

Had him for Post Modernism. His message is frequently lost in amusing distractions and the discussion conclusions are ponderous and imprecise, but I wouldn't trade those hour and fifteen minute classes for any amount of other discussions. One time, he removed the page numbers from a book, because we concluded that they were confusing its message.

Amazing teacher! Helped me adjust to college very well! Was a little confusing at times, but explained if yo asked. Pushed me when needed! Very funny and interesting. If you can ever take a class with Henry, DO IT! You won't regret it!!

Simply the best professor I ever had. Really pushed me, but in a way that was work and fun at the same time. I would recommend this prof to anyone. Of all the experiences I had in college, his class was the best. bar none.
