Comment:

Really interesting guy. And funny. He tells the stories of history in a way that brings them to life. Only problem is he jumps around a lot making it hard to follow and take notes at times. Tests are fairly easy if you do the reading. Doesn't make you memorize dates, but does put maps on tests and has one essay question per test. I recommend him.

Class was pretty good, interesting subject. He did get off topic sometimes and jump around which was annoying. Essays were easy, scantrons difficult, but he always gave us a study guide before the test which helped a lot. Overall I had a positive experience and enjoyed the class. Super funny guy.

Old guy with old school teaching style. He's very funny and keeps the long lecture period interesting with his funny commentary, stories, and antics. He is semi-retired and only teaches a section per semester. I learned a lot in his class and would recommend taking him if he is teaching a section.

Read your textbook. He draws heavily from it for quizzes & tests. He gets irritable sometimes, especially if you repeatedly come to class late or you ask questions he already answered, but he doesn't hold grudges. Overall he's a very cool, intelligent guy with a lot to teach. And yeah, he's sort of hot for an old guy.

Hichman was awesome.. I seriously loved how he lectured. He is very clear and concise.. just exceedingly beautiful with his words! He made me love the subject. Very cool guy. Someone you want to listen to talk for hours.
