Richard Johnson is a pretty good guy. He may come off as condescending but he doesn't mean it in a bad way. He's actually willing to help even though it seems like he's not willing to help. Just don't take it personally and work for your grade and you'll do fine.

Awesome teacher. Definitely drink your coffee before class, not even during because he flies most days. Go to class and pay attention, it makes the exams much easier.

Professor Johnson is great at breaking down difficult topics. His quizzes & tests and pretty fair but require a lot of studying - def. use the book! If you're having a hard time, talk to him! He's more than willing to listen and help out, and remembers concerned and hardworking students - just don't wait until the final to get help! You can do it!!

Dr Johnson is a great man and a great teacher. I was honestly very scared of organic, but after my last semester it is my favorite class. He is always willing to answer questions and help out. He may seem a bit imposing at first - but I'm sure you will grow to like him.

Professor Johnson is extremely smart, witty, and is an effective teacher. The material is difficult, but he presents it well. Go to class, read the text, do the assigned problems, and ask questions. He does have a tendency to shoot questions down by saying "you should already know that..", etc, but just ignore it and don't take it personally.

Whom ever thought Dr. Richard Johnson was the best prof never had to take advanced orgo with him, I think it would have been less painful to have each finger nail removes with rusty pliers than to listen to him talk about his meaningless papers on cis-cyclohexadiene. Also don;t bother with office hours, he will just send you on your way, Good Luck

Really nice man. Enjoys what he does and teaches. He is one of those chem guys whose mind is always somewhere else, wandering, especially when he is in his office and not in class. Wants his students to do well but not willing to compromise his exams to make it so.

The best teahcer ever. His pace is fast but just enough so that you learn the most you possibly can in the time given without blanking out from being overwhelmed. THIS professor knows how to teach. He just has a very clear way of explaining things. Its a very hard course and I would recommend never missing a class but you get so much out of it!
