He is the best chemistry professor I have ever listened to. He explains things so well and gives plenty of assignments for practice. He works very hard and really does care about students; what other prof books students in for private office hours, 20 hours a week?

Probably the most staright-forward prof in the chem program. Stresses exactly what he wants. That being said, it's certainly not an easy course, and he's definately not an approachable prof when you're in need of help. Do the homework, show up for every class and go to his extra help sessions, or you will fail.

HILARIOUS! extremely clear on his expectations. Everything relates back to a Few Arguments which he stresses throughout the semester. Just act interested and accept his corrections and work hard to learn from them and he will be happy!

I did rather enjoy Langler although the course, not so much. But I don't dred going back to take it again as I really enjoy Langler's sense of humor, and one on one, although he makes you feel stupid, at least he does so in a helpful way.
