Comment:
Brilliant lecturer, but has an absolute gift for running a writing workshop. Easily the best writing workshop I have ever had. Worth every dollar of Columbia's pricey tuition.

Comment:
A brilliant lecturer; standoffish demeanor is a camoflauge for a helpful, charming personality. When he gets his laundry done, he has his shirts boxed, rather than put on hangers-- why? This is the enduring mystery.

Comment:
brilliant lecturer; knows his stuff and is mesmorizing in class. Explains the smallest interesting detail. Be prepared to take notes; he will roll right through lectures and is full of information. He's got a rythym though; very few students speak up.
