Comment:

He will lecture for hours and he will lecture in circles if you dont stop and ask questions. He has a syllabus but doesn't really stick to it. Best advice would be to buy a tape recorder and record his notes to listen to later. Barely does labs, but a couple of his labs are very useful. Hard exams but curves alot.

Comment:

I have wonderful memories of Richard Meagher. In 1974 I enrolled in his biology course, he really motivated me and I ended graduating with high honors and a major in biology. Afterwards I was accepted at UMDNJ were in 1981 became the first Hispanic to graduate with a dental degree from that school. I will always remember Richard respect and love.

he is probably the best teacher at rowan; in the science dept., anyway. his classes are fun, as long as you ask for examples and react to what he says. otherwise, you will get lectured at for hours. he loves his jokes and stories, though. tough exams, but not much other work. he curves a lot though.

AWESOME PROFESSOR!! Has a great sense of humor and does everything in his power to let you know what exactly is on every exam. He speaks at the speed of light during his lectures, but loves answering questions. Always there to help. Take notes, take more notes, study in advance, don't cram, and be prepared to read, and you'll do fine.

He loves a good joke! Wants to see everyone do well and will push you to learn. Exam questions given ahead of time, lab practicals are pretty much identification. Really knows the subject and is fun to be around.

This guy is great! His lectures are a bit hard to understand but if you read the book, you're fine. His exams are really hard but if you follow his review you're cool. This is a hard subject so don't expect a easy sleep through class from ANY prof.

Great guy. He is hard on his students because he expects the best of them. He actually makes his classes like those in med. school, which can help people in their decisions. Very fair. I took him for ALOT of classes and loved them all. He has a great personality, if you can get it out of him.

Difficult class + even more difficult teacher = Not so great experience. Nice guy, but just shoots out the details way too fast. Bringing the details of the topics down to a student level would also help much more.
