Took Astronomy at SCCC. Very knowledgeable (has PhD in Astronomy). I gained an understanding of Physics that eluded me in HS. You did need to put in the work... unfortunately there were a number of students who did not do so... if you put in the work, you did well. I really liked the subject matter and learned a lot from Mr. Monda.

Comment:

Had for both lecture and lab. In lab he is fine, though picky in his grading. For lecture, he is very confusing and his tests are very difficult. Fortunately, his final was much easier than his tests (no exemptions, however). He does really try to help you during office hours, but he's still no the best communicator. In the end, not a bad dude.

Professor Monda was my lab teacher so I can only speak to him in such capacity. If you take notes and listen to what he is saying at the beginning of the lab he tells you the "meat and potatoes" of what he wants you to take away. You need to be detailed in labs. He is not the best communicator but be patient and respectful and he does the same.

He gives students alot of oppurtunities to raise their grades, and 90 or above on all tests and you dont have to take the final. He can be a little boring at times but only because he needs to dumb things down a little,but overall he is really helpful and i loved his dorky humor
