Not a music major but I took this class as an elective. LOVEEEED IT & HIM. He is so so knowledgeable about music and he loves what he does. He has had so many cool music experiences and tells such interesting stories. He is also sooo nice and caring. Definitely recommend him if you like music.

Professor Richard is a great music professor , took his class online on the summer . There's alot of homework and quizzes but I suggest not slip them because they help alot with your grade , the quizzes and exams are based on the book . Anyways his a great music professor and gives you enough of time to finish your work.

He isn't clear on what he expects, and grades very harshly. My best papers that I worked the hardest on would get a B, almost refuses to give an A. The wording to his test questions are misleading. The one thing that really bothered me was this semester he would talk about politics, and try to sway the class into what he believed in. NOT COOL

If you're not majoring in Music, you better not take this class because there will be lots of homework. Prepare to write a lot and read the book to do his quizzes. There are 3 exams and 8 quizzes plus 8 writing discussion and 2 essays of 4 pages (Research and concert Review with a minimum of 300 per page ). Not an easy A !!

Dr. Rose's style of teaching for my young mind is very broad to the point where I don't know a heck of what he is talking about. He speaks to us as if we're EXPERIENCED individuals already. I don't understand most of what he teaches. Wish he could use better way of teaching and kinda be at our mind's level:

This teacher is very fair and very clear on assignments. There are many projects. You have to go to a live concert and write a few papers, but overall the class was good. Very fair grader. The final is hard. All the tests are directly from the book, so make sure you read all the chapters. Good news is that the book is small. Great teacher.

It was a complicated class, have to stay on top of the assignments, do not recommend if you are taking many courses, the final is hard so study the whole course and study guide. I did all the work and failed the final and was able to pass with a B.

Took him online. I thought it was going to be a hard but it was very easy. Do all the assignments, quizzes, and the two papers you have to write (sounds like it is going to be hard but it's not) and for sure you are going to do good. The final is a little difficult but I didn't do that good but still ended up with a B. Take him You won't regret it!

I took this class independent study. Is not an easy A. Test are written and you must do 2 essays of 3 pages. I found the test very hard, you had to read the entire book and at the end you didnt find the answers. Professor Rose is very nice, is always available for help. Dont take this class either independent or online.

I took Dr.Rose for music business 3. He is a really good professor. Dr.Rose makes you work for an A because he wants his students to succeed. He is understanding and will try to help as much as he can. The exams are pretty simple & the projects are really cool. He also doesn't grade harshly, which is great because most professors do. goodluck!

This professor is pretty awesome. I found his lectures very helpful, almost a give in for tests. You WILL learn and thats a good thing. He has patience but not if you dont do the work like youre supposed to. I learned so much from him, definitely would recommend Mr.Rose :) He'll answer all your questions, and that what I call an expert!

Dr.Rose is a good professor. The class is simple. Dr.Rose is a very understanding professor and he will not hesitate to explain things more than once. He is also down to earth and a really nice guy. All he wants is his students to do well and explore their creativity. Midi class is very basic and simple. 3 projects and 3 tests which are very easy!

Mr. Rose is a very sweet teacher;however, he likes to make sure you understand and know the material. You need to work really hard to earn an A, because he does not give points away. I like him and I finished my class with an A.
