Incredibly useless. Here's a quote from the first day of class: "I'm not concerned about grammar and punctuation mistakes as much as what you're communicating." He will not teach you the curriculum of English 1, but more literature analysis. Inconsistent syllabus and just a waste of time.

He is not a good professor. He gives too much confusion to his students & lots of work loads. Don't take him if you are an ESL student cause he will just give you a C- / D on your essays/quizes. He's approachable somehow. But i don't still like him. Took him last summer. BORING CLASS.

Ok here's the deal i just took his class in the summer and he was not helpful nor clear. His teaching is based of reading essays and then he will ask for summary,thesis,outline. He grades on a curve and he sucks up to students who only got an A in the class. His grading is bad. My suggestion DONT TAKE HIM if you want an A or B.

Pretty chill teacher. Yes it's true, he is very unorganised and assigns things all over the place. Often need him to repeat things. Pretty average and humorous. Classes are very chill & open discusson so it's quite laid back. To put it most blunt but accurate, it's as if he drinks 2 beers before coming to class everyday (not necessarily bad thing).

If you care about grades, don't take his class. I just droped his class because I could'nt take another moment of comfusion from the teacher. He can't even go by his own sylabus! Very unorganized!! Good teacher, pretty easy, very interesting. I didn't have to work so hard to get a B so if i really cared i might have ended up with an A. Just make sure you turn your work on time. I think thats where my grade suffered (when i started turning things in late) Above all he's not boring!

He is an amazing/down to earth teacher who sparked critical thinking in the classroom as well as in the contents of the work we covered. His grading is very fair and his lessons interesting. If you pull your weight (as you should in any other class) - you will do well! Highly recommended!
