AMAZING!! one of the best profs at York and arguably number one. He sincerely cares about his students, hes passionate and brilliant. If you need help he will gladly assist, if you need clarification he's there as well. Very fair in his grading. If you like essays over exams take this course.

easy class. the course is useless, but he's a good prof and tries hard to make it interesting. i stopped going to the lectures and only went to tutorials. anyways, i finished up with a B in the course and seriously didnt read anything except for when it came time for doing the major essay.

Just make sure you keep up with the readings and take really good notes during the tutorials. Good trade off instead of sitting in a boring lecture for 2 hours. PPT slides on the net not much help unless you really know the material. Wellen is v.helpful and approachable if you have a question.

Prodd wellen can get boring coz the course readings sumtimes are borderline history which is boring in itself... but he is totally lovable, very approachable and you if learn to listen to him, he gives a lot of interesting information and is very keen on helping his students.

he is an extremely boring professor. all he does is read off powerpoints, which are very unclear. i find he can't explain things well, or maybe its because you lose interest after about 5 seconds and everything just becomes blah blah blah.
