The Spirit of Place/Sense of Place graduate course offered by Dr. Wilkie was one of the top 3 most interesting courses I have ever taken in both my undergraduate and graduate years! A combination of readings, critical thinking, writing, presenting and awesome fieldtrips made this course original, interesting, eye opening! Wonderful Professor!

This is a wonderful class for those of us who were considered "different" as child learners. This is a class to explore the visual and inner feelings of the places we love. The papers are long but with no structure, Dr. WIlkie allows you to se your imagination and encourages it at the same time. This class will open your mind and expand your horizo

This clas was one of the most liberating classes I have ever been involved with. DR. WIlke honestly cares about his work and students while at the same time maintaining the highest level of respect and professionalism. He instructs in visual format which has opened my eyes like no other class.
