I took Prof. Wolff for Macro back in '02 - as an elective. Why? Because of strong recommendations. As a Comm major, I didn't need his class, but one thing is true - the hype around him is completely deserved! Years later I still remember him. Take his class! Who knew macroeconomics could be interesting?!

Professor Wolff is engaging and entertaining- I never thought I'd enjoy an economics class, but I look forward to this class. He explains the material very clearly, but doesn't over simplify it. I highly recommend taking a course with Wolff, even if you don't need the credits; you'll come out a much smarter person.

really really great teacher. the tests are mostly opinion essays - as long as you 1) paid attention in class and 2) can use the info that you learned in your responses, you'll do fine. the material is really interesting and wolff teaches it extremely well. take this class before you graduate!

his is the funniest professor i've ever had. only 2 exams if you go to class you should be fine. Discussions are mandatory if you can take it with celestre you'll get an A. he's really smart and makes you think about life hard. After taking his class i've become the cheapest person on the planet. I strongly recommend his class

A fantastic professor. Very vocal and passionate about the subject. Extremely knowledgeable. You don't need the textbooks to get an A, just come to class. In lectures, he is very critical of the capitalist economic approach and introduces Marxian alternatives. No reason to even consider other teachers for the same course if Wolff is teaching it.

One of my favorite teachers at UMass! He is very smart, interesting, funny and he actually made me WANT to come to his lectures! He talks about things in a practical way, and is one of the clearest lecturers you will ever have. Discussions are painfully boring but do help you out in the long run. Tests are easy. Take his class!!

Prof Wolff is a great guy. Even if u arent taking notes, u'll remember things he talked about in class. Tests are hard if u dont know the material, otherwise they're a breeze (especially b/c discussions help a lot). Dont bother buying the books, I bought em all & never used them once. Discussions are a drag but mandatory, so go.
