This professor really cares if you learn the material. He emphasizes teaching rather than grading. Go to every class and be there for the test material review. He really knows his stuff and he is one of the few professors who can make statistics understandable. Highly recommended.

Dr. Parente's class doesn't require the use of a textbook or purchase of any computer statistical model. All of his tests are open note/open computer and they are exactly like the homeworks and practice problems he provides. Go to class, take good notes, and you'll get an A in this class. Also utilize his TA's because they're incredibly helpful.

Fairly easy class. Doesn't take attendance and the three tests are open notes. Gives up to 5 extra credit points. Honestly it would take effort to fail this class. He talks kinda quietly though so I'd sit close to the front.

He can be a little confusing at times but it does not matter. He gives you homework before every exam (4 of them including final - not cumulative). The homework is exactly what is going to be on the test. Open notes and you can use the homework on all of the exams. Highly recommend.

Parente is a bit confusing and you have to pay attention during lectures to catch all the details of what he is saying - especially because he talks under his breath a lot. Tests are open note and come almost directly from assigned homework packets. I'm terrible at math and I still did really well in this class. Wants you to pass and succeed

Dr. Parente is great. He gives out clear guidelines at the beginning of the semester and follows them through right till the end. He explains the material well. Tests and homeworks are easy and the test is more or less like the hw he gives a week before the test, which you can use on the test(in fact you can use anything on the test) Amazing class!

Very easy class. Open notes. 3 tests and 3 homeworks which are exact copies of the test. No excuse not to get an A. If you have questions though, he directs you to the TA, who may or may not know the answer. Occasionally uses incorrect numbers in class on example problems which confuses everyone. 100 point class, 5 points of EC.

This class and professor was the easiest. He gives 3 exams and 3 homework assignments. His exams are all open note and you can use your computer for spss. As long as you go to class and take notes, you should be fine. The class before the exam is all review. He gives you a review page that is basically the exam. Which you can use on the exam.

3 exams and 5 homework assignments. You can use anything you need on exams. No textbook. If you go to class and learn how to do the problems, you'll do fine. He goes over the same problems that will be on the exam. Definitely take him if you need this course.

He is a very good instructor and knows his material very well. Make sure to attend the class so you understand all of the material even though all tests are open notes. He does tend to ramble sometimes and talk in circles but other than that, great professor. Funny guy.

Dr. Parente is a great teacher, wants everyone to do well. Every test is open note so it comes in handy to go to every class, gives extra credit opportunities, and hw assignments that you have a week to do (replica of the test), spent a lot of time on last unit b/c people complained he didn't last semester which is good, easy A if you go to class

He was soooo helpful and so clear! Go to class and take the notes. As long as you do that, you're set to do well in the class. Open book, open note exams, and he goes over examples a lot to make sure you're clear on what to do. Great professor!
