Jinks is the worse professor I ever had. I accept his class is hard, and hard class push us being outstanding, but he doesn't help student after class. he always say he is busy. He doesn't care if you can do well or not. All he care about is his won research. I wonder why he want to be a professor if he doesn't have time to help students.

Best professor I have ever had the pleasure to work with for both intro and advanced neuro courses. I learned more from this man than any other professor ever. Classes are clear, rapid paced and full of information. So: Prepare and pay attention (tape recorder advised) This is the best education you will experience. Do not expect it to be easy

His class is really difficult! Attend and record his lectures with a recorder because he talks really fast! Focus on his powerpoints and lecture notes for studying, not on the textbook which is way too detailed.

I really like Dr. Jinks and neuroscience in general. That being said, this is NOT an easy topic, and he does his best to explain. You probably won't understand everything if you don't do a little reading. He constantly asks for questions and expects participation (not graded). Tests are insane. Expect to make this class a priority.

Best professor I ever had. He is a walking textbook...very hard, so you have to study. Very approachable and helpful though. Take Jinks if you plan on grad school, too bad he's not teaching at one. Best lab course at the school too. I learned more in one semester than from most other science prof's combined.

TERRIBLE. practically impossible to do well. make sure you've taken physics before because the course revolves around biology and physics. i have no idea why it is under the psych category as well...tests were confusing, definitely not recall based. solely based on conceptual understanding which is how it should be-but he took it too far

He's a great guy and a VERY thorough lecturer. His tests are hard because they are too long for the 50 minutes, but your grade works out in the end. You'll learn a lot if you want to.
