Comment:

I had her class right after Chapel on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so it was kind of like having Bible study after worship which I really liked. She is a very sweet woman, and she obviously loves her students and wants them to do well. She's tough on you sometimes, but that's because she knows you can take it and come out better because of it.

Comment:

She was very passionate which I liked, and it kept my attention for the most part. But the subject was just boring to me. She was super nice, I just hated her grading system. Every test was a different format, which drove me crazy. First all MC. Then the next test was all short answer and essay. Then the final was only fill in the blank. wth!!

JBU students seem to be in love with castleman, but i am not sure why? I took honors evangelical phyl with castleman and thought she was unclear on some of her expectations in the assignments, in addition to her grading guidlines. She also has strong opinions and you need to just go along with her opinions and desired style for writing.

She kind of lives in her own little world, and if you like doing things RIGHT as opposed to the way she likes them, you may not do well. She also always likes to be the center of attention, which is really frustrating during student presentations, since she's constantly interrupting. Doesn't always use class time very well, she likes illustrations.

Great class. Tough 25 page paper, simple 15 pager, and a 10 pager. There is a final presentation that takes place of a final exam, but she does have a final test and a midterm. Learn a lot about the book of Hebrews. Majority is through research during your 15 page paper. Each class is informative and rarely feels like a waste of time.

Dude! Dr. Castleman is amazing! She is so sincerly excited about Jesus, and showing us more about His character. She is very helpful. You have to work, write a few papers, but she is very helpful and encouraging.

Castleman is an amazing teacher. Her tests aren't hard if you study the study guide she gives. The study guides are clear, but only about half of what's on the study guide is on the test. She lecture's clearly. Really enjoyed her class.

Not really the bible type person and loved the class. If I was a bible student, would take it through her. Made the class exciting unlike most classes. Really kept the students grounded into scripture. Compared it with everyday things.
