Dr. Coplan was an excellent professor! He is very knowledgeable about his field, he gets the class engaged, and he really enjoys facilitating class discussions. I would definitely recommend him for the Special Topics class. He assigns a fair amount of reading (usually 1 article per week) and the assignments were engaging and clearly laid out.

Rob is an excellent professor and a joy to work with. I had him for honours seminar in developmental psychology. He went through each step of a thesis so that we were fully prepared. The TA for this course was also amazing.

He is by far the best professor at Carleton. If you have an opportunity to take one of his classes, do it! He is engaged with his students, gives exceptional feedback, and encourages his students to think beyond just the articles. You will learn so much from this class and never be bored either.

Awesome prof! His lectures are very engaging and interesting with some good humour in them as well. Research papers are pretty easy (especially the first one) and the exam questions are given too you ahead of time. Any PYSC student should make sure to take a class taught by him. He is the best professor I have ever had!

Dr. Coplan is amazing! He makes the information so interesting and encourages class discussions despite having 100+ people. He gives 2 research papers; which are fairly short. For the final exam he gives out the questions ahead of time and then picks half from that list. He starts on time and is helpful in and out of class. Easy on the eyes too
