Took two classes with him in 1999 and 2000 (CS 250 and CS230). He works you pretty hard, but is by no means the toughest prof around. He's opinionated esp. wrt Microsoft (evil) but he's been around and knows his stuff. I still aspire to do some of the stuff he showed us when I was a student. He's an old school, hard core CS guy. Awesome.
