Pretty cool class. Lectures are cool, and he's an easy going guy. All the exams are take home, and pretty straight forward. Also, the lectures are all on the website which makes doing the exams even easier. Low stress level class, and don't need to attend every class. Highly recommend!

He was a nice guy. He tried to make lecture interesting and be funny. Obviously likes philosophy a lot. Take home exams are awesome but be sure to talk to your TA since they grade it. Sometimes goes off, thinking you know the basics when you don't. Overall an ok class for GE credit.

knows material well; sometimes lapses into irrelevant stories, but an interesting, amiable professor. take home exams rock.

All you have to do is read the assigned materials and understand them. After a reading is assigned, he reviews it indepth in class the next day. He asks midterm questions right out of the reading. No excuse not to get an A unless you are just dumb. Enthusiastic guy.

Definitely the hardest class I've taken so far at Davis. Material is interesting, but very difficult to understand. If you do outlines for the practice tests, you should get an A or B, but if you don't you must die (or fail, which is the same).

Class was interesting, but things tend to get a little drab. 4 or 5 take home assignments (including the final), so the class itself was really easy as long as you go talk to your TA.

Mr and Ms Cummins teach the class. Someatimes the lecture makes as much sense as boowadagedyol. But most of the time you can get by w/o reading. The class is very interesting and both Cummins are extremely educated. Practice tests make tests easy.

Boring, I always fell asleep. Lectures pointless, as he posts every lecture online. Only teaches from one point of view, very biased. Material unclear, makes tests very hard since we can't exactly explain things (only knowing one point of view).
