Professor Eshbach is a really funny character and a super nice guy, but the class I took wasn't that interesting. If you want an easy A and to just fill your fine arts requirement, I recommend taking it.

He is a very intelligent and caring person. He's a little eccentric but I think it adds to the class. He puts a lot of thought into responses on essays and exams and does his best to help students having trouble.

Professor Eshbach puts a lot of effort into explaining the material for us (even has a website for the course that gives tons of information) and cares a lot about our learning. He is passionate and occasionally funny in class. He makes even Medieval music interesting.

Very passionate about music. As a teacher, NOT GOOD. A good 40% of the class is irrelevant and he lectures heavily on religion and dance. Tests are ridiculous because he gives you a word and you need to write the entire definition. Usually these words are on his powerpoints but with absolutely no definition attatched. Not a good into to musi prof.

Absolutely one of the best profersors I've ever had. Passionate, funny, incredibly astute and wise, very knowledgeable, caring, and considerate. Built the orchestra from nothing to a major organization at UNH. Fabulous violinist. Talented, wouldn't miss his class for anything.

Was that last rating a joke? Most unclear conducting pattern I've worked with. Has a fractured rehearsal technique that results in performances that are often the first complete run through of a piece. Hell of a nice guy, phenominal musician, just don't like rehearsing with him.

Bob is an AMAZING conductor and violinist, and anyone who says otherwise doesn't understand him. Having worked with many conductors, I think of Bob as the most inspiring and probably the best. Please do not insult Bob like this.
