A funny, clever, and relaxed person. He is genuinely interested in what he does, encourages his students to pursue their interests, and sincerely hopes that they succeed. He is a rare professor and you are lucky if you have him.

Rob is a wonderful professor. Very clear, helpful and considerate. I learnt a lot in his physics 409 class. It was my first lab course where a professor paid so much attention to his students rather than just relying on the TAs. I wish I had him for more of my courses. I highly recommend him.
