Would recommend, really good at teaching calc and makes concepts very easy to understand. We finished the course about a month before the semester, and he decided to teach complex analysis. Harder than the multivariable 2 he taught but was not impossible. Possible to self-learn calculus from Stewarts, though lectures were very helpful.

Heinous. He decided a month from the end that he would stop teaching Calculus and switch to Complex Numbers Analsis, something taught in another course, not on our syllabus. He forces you to memorize specifics rather than be able to do the math. Useless lecture, used Khan Academy. Bad office help. Extra reading is not good. DO NOT TAKE HIM. EVER.

He was sort of alright during calculus, but at one point, he randomly decided to forego Calculus and start us on Complex Numbers Analysis, an entirely separate course. It doesn't make sense, since none of us had encountered it before, and there was no reason to stop using our Calculus book and switch subjects. DON'T TAKE HIM.

As far as the Fordham Math Dept goes, you can do a lot worse than Prof. Lewis. I had very low expectations going in, but he is really a decent prof if you put in the time and effort. Going to the math help room is a must, but that's more the difficult subject matter than anything else.

Worst teacher I have ever had in my life. Tests are not like the homework or the class notes. He will not help you. Even if you do all of the homework and understand it completely, you will still not do well on tests. Seems ridiculous, because it is, but it is true. Please don't take this guy.

He is unhelpful and the review questions for the test have nothing to do with the test. I got an A in this class in high school and got a D on the only test we have taken. Most people failed the test and we are only having two tests.

I had him for math modeling and he has no clue how to teach. He assigns computer projects but cant use Xcel himself. His tests are dumb as hell and you never really learn anything in the class. Take marroto (author of book) at lincoln center. He is smart but focuses on theory when this should be an APPLIED MATH COURSE. DONT TAKE!

Lewis doesn't let you work for a good grade. I went to his office hours and even to the math extra help and got no help for his quizes or tests. Homework isn't too hard but the tests are nothing like it. No curves, doesn't remove any grades and no extra credit or anything. He has a lively sense of humor but his teaching isn't exactly as bubbly.

Mediocre math teacher. Homework is once a week and pretty easy but then he kills you with tests/quizzes. The examples are obscure and rarely mentioned in class and time is minimal. Only take this if you are good at calc already, and want a class you can easily skip.

Took him for MathModeling, he is so smart. He's a way better prof at theory over application. This class was app so thats why ppl didn't like him. Grades based on Comp projects, hw, quizzes, midterm, final. He knows some of the students. Class was a bit hard but would def take him again. It is math; it's not going to be easy. Nice prof in general.

I took him for Math Modeling and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. You could tell he was a smart man, but he did not know how to teach the material...attendance is not necessary, he does not know anyone in the class except the smart ones, and he grades soo hard... the final included nothing we did during the day.. so hard!!!

Starts out easy, but the quizzes start to get ridiculous fast. Even if you do the homework the problems are nothing like the quizzes. Midterm is very hard. Final was easier. Do the homework, study a lot for quizzes. You don't really need to go to class except to hand in homework because it's easier reading the book on your own.

Easiest class I've ever taken in my life. I barely had to show up by the end because I knew which days wouldn't matter. Never knew a single name of a kid in class nor do I think he cares. Very easy for Math Meth1 if you're fairly good at math. take him for an easy A.
